Story of Peyush Bansal as an Entrepreneur
Peyush Bansal was born on 26 April 1985 in a middle-class family. After studying at Delhi’s Don Bosco School, he wanted to go into IIT but couldn’t make it through.
This is when he decided to move out of the country and get an admission overseas. After working hard, he was admitted to McGill University, Canada where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Only a few people know this, but while studying in Canada during 2002 and 2006 he used to work as a part-time receptionist to cover his living expenses in Canada.
After completing his studies, he joined Microsoft for almost a year but he had this entrepreneurial bug inside him which kept on telling him that this was not something you should be doing. He also completed the MPEFB- Management course from IIM Bangalore.
He came back to India in 2008 without having any business idea in his mind. What he had was a belief that he would do something good.
Coming back to India, he started a start-up called Searchmycampus.com where which they used to help students find hostels, coachings, jobs, libraries, etc.
Later on, he, with one of his friends founded Valyoo Technologies Pvt Ltd, which you now know as Lenskart.
