Vineeta Singh Career

Vineeta was born in Anand, Gujarat on 06 August 1983. She comes from a well-educated family, her father Tej P. Singh is a biophysicist at All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and her mother has a PhD. degree.

It looks like she received the genes of her parents quite well. She is extremely intelligent and good in academics and sports.

She completed her early education at Delhi Public School and went to IIT Madras to complete her degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005.

She took complete advantage of her brain and cracked IIM Ahmedabad where she completed her MBA in 2007.

She is extremely intelligent, isn’t she? If you are awestruck by her intelligence then hold on, she is not just good in academics, but she is also a great sportsperson.

She runs a marathon runner participated in many marathons in Mumbai, even completed triathlons, is a badminton player, and is a fitness enthusiast.

How Vineeta Singh Started Sugar Cosmetics?

While she was in IIM Ahmedabad, she was just 23 when she was struck with an idea in the final year of her MBA.

Although she got an offer of ₹1 crore from Deutch Bank, she declined it. Of course, It was a big decision and it takes guts to decline such an offer to start a career with.

But what she had was a belief that she was made for something big and she knew that she had the capabilities to bring an impact in society.

In 2007, when she was at IIM Ahmedabad, she started Quetzal Verify with her friends which was a background verification company for recruiters.

She soon realized it was a cost-driven market and moved to her second start-up in 2012 FAB BAG which was a cosmetic products subscription service.

This worked well and she learned a lot of new skills and behaviours of the women which eventually led her and her husband, Kaushik Mukherjee, to start Sugar Cosmetics in 2015.

Then there was no looking back. Sugar became Sugar due to the different marketing strategies, the quality of the product, and the target market.
